why you should watch leverage

Wow, so this post comes 5 years late and a lot of people have do this before me, but the reason why you’re finding this now on your dash is Leverage will air in syndication starting September 15th, meaning is going to be extremely easy to watch it. from the beginning. And you should do it. Think of it as a new show starting this fall except in this case I can already assure you it’s going to be super awesome. Like man, 99% of the time I consider this show a hidden TV masterpiece just because it makes me so happy in all the possible ways fiction can make me happy, but even if you don’t, I guarantee you it’s pretty fucking enjoyable.

"I did a lot of research on how she would be actually dying in this circumstance, so I had to bear that in mind. So, as she was dying and she had her last breath, I was saying my lines and I kept saying, “I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you.” And I remember one of the producers came over and said, “Please don’t say that because she loves Isaac.” [But] I do feel like Allison still loves Scott. And I think in that moment, she said she loves him because that’s still there. So it was hard for me to hold back those feelings because as an actor, I feel like that’s still there. So I don’t know how it’s going to turn out, but it was interesting for me as an actor because I so strongly felt the urge to say it to him even though she wasn’t supposed to. So that was interesting."

Crystal Reed

(I’m sorry I can’t hear you over the fact that SHE made the decision. That she got to decide who she loved in the end, not the writers.)

“[Anthony] can be genial. He can be menacing. He can be sexy. He can do all of these things at the same time. I think he’s a very good actor, but I just don’t think that he’s had the film roles that he deserves. His success is limited by the imagination of the film industry. With really good actors, especially actors of color, the opportunities are fewer. Who will be brave enough to put him in a leading role instead of putting him in a supporting role?” - Boston Globe film critic and Pulitzer Prize winner Wesley Morris.

Happy 34th Birthday, Anthony Mackie (September 23, 1979)!

Women in our position must make the best of our circumstances.
